they are small n live in damp places because they dont have a vascular system and they are small because they dont have a vascular system to protect them

they do not have a vascular system, the need wet areas so the water can difuse and it can help them grow. a example is moss and places like that. they are small because it is easier for the water to go to the roots, if it was big then the water would not be able to reach all the way through it and go to the roots

They live in damp areas because they lack a vascular system to protect them. So, being small and being in a wet location helps them protect themselves.

hi miss this is heidi :)
Bryophites are so small because they dont have a vascular system so if they were big the water wouldnt be able to transport through the plant, also they dont have any support either, also being close to the ground in damp areas is how they get there water seeing they dont have a system

Good work gang... Basically, the Bryophytes lack a vascular system (xylem and phloem tissue that aids in water and nutrient transport.) So, water must travel via diffusion. Also, the vascular system provides support and also a plant to grow tall. Brypohytes lack this support and are therefore small.
